ADOBE PHOTOSHOP® TEMPLATES & TIPS

The instructions below will help guide you in preparing the best possible Photoshop files for print.

TEMPLATES

These templates are mac and windows compatible unless otherwise noted.

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP® TIPS

SAVE FILE AS TIFF

We prefer that all Photoshop files are saved as a flattened greyscale or CMYK TIFFs with 300 dpi at actual size.

Use distinctive file names but avoid characters other than letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores. One suggestion is to use company initials, PO number and brief description. For example "ABC 10562 - Fall program 08).

When ready to send a photoshop file we recommend using the Save As command and saving a copy with the Layers option deselected and adding an indicator to the file name. This will help prevent accidentaly saving over the original editable layered file.

Do not use LZW compression when saving a file.

Please Note: DigitalXpress is not responsible for defaulted or dropped text resulting from layered files.

PREPARING FILES FOR TRANSFER

Please use distinctive file names but avoid characters other than letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores. One suggestion is to use company initials, PO number and brief description. For example "ABC 10562 - pg 2 Fall program 08".

To package several files togther or to reduce large file sizes for faster transfer use a compression program such as Stuffit or WinZip.

NOTE: When creating a compressed archive file, please give the archive the same distinctive name as the project.

TRANSFERRING FILES

After placing an order you will be given the opportunity to upload your file. Follow the instructions accordingly.
